You don't need a design degree. You need to internalise five principles that professional designers apply every single time:

1. Hierarchy

Your design needs a clear visual order. The most important element should be biggest/boldest. The second most important should be noticeably smaller. Everything else recedes. If everything looks equally important, nothing does.

How to Use Templates Without Looking Generic

Templates are not a shortcut to lazy design — they're a shortcut to good structure. The key is customisation:

  1. Replace all placeholder images with photos relevant to your brand. Stock photos from templates are overused and recognisable.
