  2. For each, search Udemy and Teachable to see how many competing courses exist and how many reviews they have (a proxy for sales)
  3. Check Google Trends for the topic — is interest growing or declining?
  4. Search Reddit and Facebook Groups for the topic — are people asking questions you could answer?
  5. The sweet spot: meaningful competition (validates demand) but no dominant clear market leader

Validating Before You Build

Building a full course before validating demand is the most expensive mistake in online education. Validate first — with a minimum viable product.
